Wow, what a warm welcome I have seen here. It is beautiful. I was wrong... the Haga Sophia ıs not the most beautiful buıldıng ın the world, it's only the second. The Blue Mosque right next to it is even more spectacular. I was grabbed off the street by some man last night while I was searching for a place to stay and it was beginning to get a bit dark and I was getting a bit nervous. He took me to 3 or 4 hotels before we found one that had room. He then asked me to come visit him later. I thought it was some ploy to get me to eat at his bar or something, but when I got there, I was invited to their rooftop terrace looking over the water. There was a group of austrailian girls they had taken up, and few other random travelers they had grabbed off the street. Bottle after bottle of wine, grilled chicken, salad, bread, beer.... it was crazy. I'm still really not sure what happened. I suppose at some point they were hoping we might buy a rug from them, but no one ever even mentioned it to me. Very strange, but I can't complain. It was wonderful.
So, again, I'm here and alive... getting settled in. Problem with my email is fixed... there are two 'i's on turkish keyboards, and the one without a dot ıs where our normal one is. hehe. Need to get my bearings and start moving in a day or two. I gotta get out and see some of this town first though, so... until next time... :-)
